『剣道の起源は韓国にあり!?』 http://www.geocities.co.jp/Athlete-Acropolis/6963/ Kendo was originated from Korea !? Kendo is the art of the sword. You might think that Kendo was originated from Korea. That is definitely wrong. Although Korea conveyded sword from China to Japan, Japan has the root of Kendo. Japan invented the unique Japanese sword "Nihonto", and developed the unique sword techniques which were called "Kenjutu" and "Iaido". Furthermore, for practice of Kenjutu, Japan invented the unique equipments, "shinai", "do", "tare" and "men". Japan developved "Kendo" as a sport from Kenjutu. Japan taught Kendo to Korean. Kendo is called "Kumdo" in Korean pronunciation. There are no differences between Japanese Kendo and Korean Kumdo. Kumdo is the same of Kendo. http://www.geocities.co.jp/Athlete-Acropolis/6963/english.html

On August 29, 1910, Emperor Sunjong abdicated the throne of Korea and officially relinquished control of the country to the Japanese. Japan immediately set about the systematic destruction of the Korean culture, including making it illegal to teach Korean history. A revisionist history, written by the Japanese, replaced the traditional subject matter in the public schools. Korean martial arts were banned, and eventually supplanted by Japanese forms. Ssirum, a form of wrestling which the Koreans probably learned from the Mongols, was replaced by Sumo. T'aekyun, a form of unarmed self-defense which included extensive use of kicking techniques, was replaced by Judo. And Korean (Hankuk) kumdo was replaced by Japanese kendo. The Japanese ban on Korean martial arts was however, simply another obstacle in a long line of obstacles which hindered the transmission of Korean muye (martial arts).

In the mid 1800s, an artist of the royal court named Yu Suk ( 1827-1873) painted a mural called the Taek'oedo in which t'aekkyon and ssirum are being contested as folk games in the midst of much smoking and drinking.

Their research seemed to say that although there is a strong Karate influence as a result of the Japanese occupation, once WW2 ended, the Koreans sought to distance TKD greatly from its "Korean Karate" label by intermixing many aspects from Koreas traditional arts such as★ Tae Kyon★ which were all but ★destroyed during the occupation.★ They wanted to present an art that would truly represent Korea, its history and its people. They then began to use TKD not only as a martial art, but as a diplomatic tool and it seemed to "explode" onto the MA scene.

What could Japanese destroy? Human memory? As you may know, most of MA have no documentation and that fact is the biggest problem with MA historians. Even the infamous Bubishi, it is not only mere sketches but also many different versions. The original TKD practioners could remember how it came, at least their instructor's background. In Korea, on the other hand, the martial arts have been recognized traditionally as being either "Ki" ("skill"), "Sool"("art, method"), or "Kiyae" ("mechanical art"). That is to say, Koreans looked upon martial arts as either a means of fighting or as method of developing the mind and body. Examination of the ancient Korean historical records reveal that such terms as "moo-do", "koong-do", or "gum-do" were not so much as once used. It was only after the middle of the Japanese colonial rule in Korea that the term "do" first appeared in Korean records. In Korea, "mu-yae" or "moo-sool" were traditionally used instead of "moo-do". In the same way, "koong-sa" (bow shooting), or "koong-sool" (bow technique) were used by Koreans instead of "koong-do". In addition, "yoo-sool" was used in Korea, not "yoo-do".
Hapkido, our indigenous martial arts are traced back to the lecture of the truth in the Samilsinko, the oldest sacred books of our people.
Meanwhile, Hapkido, which was transmitted to Japan through Shilla in the period of the Three Kingdoms, developed with the hands of several people and was officially named Hapkido in 1942, returning to Korea in the Korean War of 1950. Some people say it is legitimate, but Hapkido is our legitimate martial arts with the spirit of Korean people.

The current armour developed over time, with first the hands, then the chest, then the groin and finally the head being covered. http://members.tripod.com/kumdo/jukdo.html About the Jukdo (Shinai) The art of Kumdo developed as a practice form in the 18th century, reaching something very similar to its current form when the jukdo (shinai) or practice sword, and the hogoo (Kumdo armour) were developed. http://members.tripod.com/kumdo/jwhat.html What is Kendo? Kendo is the way of the sword, Japanese fencing. About 8 million people worldwide participate, 7 million of them in Japan. It is taught as part of the school physical education curriculum. College kendo teams in Japan are high-profile; major competitions are televised complete with colour commentary. http://members.tripod.com/kumdo/history.html The History of Kendo Kendo is composed of two kanji: "Ken", meaning sword, and "Do", meaning 'the way/path of'. Together the term is literally the "way of the sword". It is a martial arts tradition spawned by the traditional schools of swordsmanship (ryu) of ancient Japan, and was practiced by and large by the bushi, or samurai class of the era.
唐手道も韓国起源??? http://www.brown.edu/Students/Tang_Soo_Do/FAQ.htm What is Tang Soo Do? Tang Soo Do, a traditional Korean Martial Art, is the art of open hand and foot self defense. Tang Soo Do was developed from traditional Korean martial arts dating back over two thousand years. Tang Soo Do is taught as an art rather than as a sport.
http://ynucc.yeungnam.ac.kr/~ssi/Introduction/History/history.html We can verify the fact that Ssireum was practiced along with Tae-Kwon-Do(Korean-style Karate) during the Three Kingdoms Period in ancient Korea. The origin of Ssireum is not yet known. but the oldest evidence pertaining to Ssireum in Korean history is a mural painting on a wallof a royal tomb located in the old capital city of Koguryo Dynasty, in Southern Manchuria, Which was discovered in 1905. This tomb is believed to have been built around turn of 4th century and in view of the fact that the ancient Ssireum style was similar to that of contemporary Ssireum. we can imagine how the people of Koguryo liked the sports. It is likely that such a popular sport was practiced well before that time. The first official records on Ssireum can be found in Koryosa(the history of Koryo Dynasty). According to the literature in March, 1330, King Chunghe entrusted major affairs of state to his aides each day so that he could practice Ssireum with an errand boy. The king was criticized for disregarding royal customs to practice Ssireum within the palace grounds. Nonetheless, the King ignored criticism and continued his participation in the sports. Chronicles of Yi Dynasty recorded that King Sejong went out to Joja Island for pleasure cruise and had a banquet on a boat while amusingly watching his soldiers compete in Ssireum. (省略)
